Here comes our latest rotoscoping experiment based on an original project that combines photography and choreography, now featuring a song from the amazing D2mau. Maybe it is not new, but it contains lots of love in the process. We hope you like it!

Have you seen the new header that we put two days ago at the top of 40Fakes? Beautiful, isn’t?
Our friends of the Barcelona based studio La Rana accepted happily the challenge and they have created this beautiful header.
La Rana is a creative studio, which is formed by Renata and Ana, focused in graphic & web design, illustration, advertising and audiovisuals.

Si recordáis, preguntamos a varios amigos que interpretaran su propia versión de la cabecera de los 40Fakes, las que podéis ver aquÃ. Por ese motivo, y siendo nuestro ‘primer’ dÃa en 2013, no se me ocurre una mejor oportunidad que compartir con vosotros nuestra nueva cabecera, creada por la artista Amaia Arrazola.
Estoy bastante seguro que conoceréis el trabajo de esta artistaza que reside en Barcelona, ¿cierto? Por el contrario, si soys de las poquÃsimas personas que no la conocéis, debéis visitar su acojonante portfolio ya mismo!

If you remember, we asked to some friends to perform an in-house version of 40Fakes’ header which ones you could see here. So being our ‘first’ day in this 2013, I can’t imagine a better chance to sharing with you a new version of 40Fakes’ headers, created by artist Amaia Arrazola.
I’m pretty sure that you will know about this talented Barcelona based illustrator, right? If you are the few persons that don’t know her, you must visit her portfolio right now!

Este año está a punto de terminar (tal vez se acabe el mundo también!!), asà que decidimos cantar una canción, cortar y pegar papeles y pasar un buen rato animando una pelÃcula. También decidimos que era el mejor momento para hacer un homenaje a uno de nuestros maestros, uno de los mejores animadores de todos los tiempos, Fyodor Khitruk! Nos encantan las animaciones “planas y llenas de vida – con muchos detalles – y con un desenfrenado amor por la ilustración” que hacÃa! Por eso decidimos crear nuestra pieza “The place where gisfts are crafted” aka Gnomos Kontraten. Esperamos que os guste!

The year is close to the end (maybe the world is ending too), so we decided to sing a song, cut some papers and have fun animating a movie. We also decided that it was the best moment to make a tribute to one of our masters, one of the best animators ever, Fyodor Khitruk! We love that “plain and vibrant – full of details – and always loving the illustration language” animation he made! So that’s why we decided to create our  movie “The place where gisfts are crafted” aka Gnomos Kontraten. We hope you enjoy it!
The United Fakes wishes you a “Very single and very very special 2013″!!
Hemos estado recibiendo en el estudio diferentes pistas de la agencia madrileña de comunicación Notabene sobre una nueva marca de ropa. Todas las pistas estaban relacionadas al mundo del mar como un mensaje en una botella o una brújula, con tal de presentarnos Tigers, una nueva marca de ropa de la compañÃa americana North Sails. En la última pista recibimos una bonita camisa de cuadros y más información sobre un corto producido por la compañÃa donde muestran sus raÃces y su pasión por el mar, todo ello bajo el lema de “Become what you were born to be”.

We have been receiving some different clues from Madrid based communication agency Notabene about a new clothes brand. All the clues were related to sailors’ world like a message in a bottle or a compass in order to introduce Tigers, a new clothes brand of the American company North Sails. In the last clue we have received a natty squared shirt and some information related to a short-movie produced by North Sails where it’s showed their roots and their passion with the sea, under the claim “Become what you were born to be”

Estuvimos trabajando mucho estos últimos dos meses (buenas noticias para estos tiempos tan locos que corren). Estamos muy contentos de compartir con vosotros nuestro proyecto más reciente para la campaña “ilumina el 2013“ de General Optica. Desarrollamos este stop-motion para el proyecto, y disfrutamos cada segundo del trabajo! Si, el proyecto está terminado y cargado en vimeo! Espero que os guste!
We have been working hard this past two months (good news in this crazy days). We are very happy to share with you our latest work for General Optica’s campaign “illumine el 2013“. We have developed this stop-motion movie for the project, and we have enjoyed every second we spent on the work! Yes, the project is done and uploaded on vimeo! Hope you like it!
¿Alguna vez has estado en una charla de los 40fakes – United Fakes? Si set´as en Madrid el próximo 15 de diciembre anota la fecha! _Sergei y un servidor vamos a dar una charla en MrMarcel School dentro del Weekend Pills. Pensad dos veces si queréis venir a la charla y pasar un rato con nosotros. Bien, si queréis proponer algún tema o contenido sólo tenéis que deja un comentario en esta entrada y intentaré incluirlo en el guión … Si, yo estoy haciendo el Keynote de la presentación mientras _Sergei se está entrenando para otro triatlón! Es por eso que yo hablaré mientras él estará en bolas durante la conferencia!

Have you ever been at any 40fakes – United Fakes talk? If you are in Madrid next december the 15th, save the date! _Sergei and I will be talking at MrMarcel School in the weekend pills event. Think twice if you want to come and spend some time with us. Well, if you want to propose any content for the talk just leave a comment on that post and I will try to include it in our script … yes, I’m doing the Keynote presentation wile _Sergei is training for an other triathlon! That’s why I will be talking and he will be nude during the talk!
