Aunque el fotógrafo esloveno Jaka Babnik está especializado en la fotografÃa del mundo del skate, ha desarrollado en We are dogs! un estudio de auto-reflexión sobre la naturaleza humana y la sociedad. A través de imágenes de peleas de perros, el artista hace una crÃtica sobre el ejercicio de demostración de poder que el humano no se corta en ejecutar, tanto sobre el propio hombre como con los animales, a los que explota y humilla.
El proyecto se presentará, junto a la ayuda de lamono magazine y Adonay Bermúdez, el próximo 22 de mayo en la galerÃa de arte barcelonesa Espai[b].
Although the Slovenian photographer Jaka Babnik is specialized in photography of skate, he has developed in We are dogs! a study of self-reflection on human nature and society. Through dog fights’ pictures, the artist criticizes on the showing of power that human does, both on other humans and to animals, which exploits and humiliates.
The project is presenting, together with lamono magazine and Adonay Bermúdez, on May 22nd at Barcelona based art gallery Espai[b].

Aleix es un joven fotógrafo catalán con mucho talento, un portafolio lleno de proyectos muy inteligentes, y con fotos tomadas por todo el mundo. Uno de esos artistas que ponen en marcha tu cerebro mientras miras su obra. Encontré también el proyecto colectivo llamado “La Cà mera Gran” … hay que verlo!

Aleix is a very young and talented catalan photographer with a portfolio full of very smart projects, with images taken all around the world. One of those people that make you think while you check his work. I also found a part of a collaborative project called “La CÃ mera Gran” which is a must see!

Techniques like image transfer, multilayered transparency, images outliner and the incorporation of gold and silver sheet form the visual language of the photographer Andrew Millar, who is opening today at Impossible Barcelona his exhibition A time for clearer thinking. La fotógrafa Vivian Maier permaneció desconocida para el mundo fotográfico hasta que sus imágenes fueron descubiertas por John Maloof en una casa de subastas locales en Chicago en 2007. Siempre con una Roleiflex alrededor del cuello, Vivian se las arregló para acumular más de 2.000 rollos de pelÃcula, 3.000 fotografÃas impresas y más de 100.000 negativos que prácticamente nadie más contempló durante su vida.
La Sala Municipal de Exposiciones San Benito de Valladolid inaugura, con la colaboración de Anne Morin y diChroma photography, la exposición “Vivian Maier, Street Photographer” que muestra una colección de 120 fotografÃas y nueve pelÃculas en Super 8 sobre el ambiente callejero de Nueva York y Chicago en los años 50 y 60.
Si encontráis interesante la vida fotográfica Vivian Maier, se está preparando un documental sobre su vida llamado Finding Vivian Maier.

The photographer Vivian Maier reminded unknown to the photographic scene until her pictures were discovered by John Maloof at Chicago’s auction house in 2007. Holding a Roleiflex camera, Vivian collecter above 2.000 film rolls, 3.000 printed pictures and more than 100.000 negatives which no one saw them during her whole life.
The Valladolid based exhibition centre San Benito is presenting, in collaboration with Anne Morin and diChroma photography, the exhibition “Vivian Maier, Street Photographer” which has a collection of 120 pictures and some Super 8 movies about the New York and Chicago’s street-life in the 50s & 60s.
If you find Vivian Maier’s photographic-life interesting, it’s being preparated a documentary about her life called Finding Vivian Maier.
