La galería de arte barcelonesa Montana Gallery expondrá los brutales trabajos del artista urbano Aryz.
En una tela, papel o en un muro que creías demasiado grande para conquistar, la tenebrosa paleta y los maravillosos personajes de Aryz parece que respiren encima del soporte en que se asientan. Sus sujetos y entornos, tan graciosos como grotescos, ofrecen un extraño espacio confortable mientras que mantienen todas las tripas y dientes en su sitio. Aryz está haciendo un potente trabajo en un momento importante, y espero ver lo que haga a continuación.

Barcelona based art gallery Montana Gallery are going to expose the amazing work of street artist Aryz.
On canvas, paper, or a wall you thought was too big to conquer, Aryz’s creepy palette and wonderful characters seem to breathe just above the surfaces they sit on. The graceful-if-grotesque subjects and environments offer a strangely comforting space while keeping all the guts and teeth in the right place. Aryz is making some powerful work at an important time, and I look forward to watching what he does next.

La gente de la escuela madrileña de diseño MrMarcelSchool nos anuncian las Weekend Pills, una serie de actividades de fin de semana para grandes y jóvenes que complementan sus cursos impartidos. Las Weekend Pills se realizarán dos veces al mes y en ella asistirán varios profesionales de los diferentes ámbitos del diseño. Dentro de una Weekend Pills podréis encontrar las ponencias profesionales, una presentación de jóvenes talentos y talleres para niños.

People of Madrid based design school MrMarcelSchool are pleased to announce the Weekend Pills, a series of weekend talk activities to everybody which complement the courses that they offer. The Weekend Pills will be twice a month and will attend professionals form different design fields. In the Weeked Pills’s schedule there will be professional talks, a presentation of youth talent and workshops for kids.

La agencia barcelonesa Vasava ha dirigido este precioso vídeo para crear los títulos de crédito del OFFF Cincinnati 2011, trabajando conjuntamente con diferentes artesanos. Cada conferenciante está representado en una técnica diferentes, haciendo un bonito mural de posibilidades artesanas.
Barcelona agency Vasava have directed this wonderful video to create the OFFF Cincinnati 2011‘s main titles, working together several handcrafters. Each speaker is represented in a different technique making a beautiful mosaic of handcraft possibilities.
La semana pasada tuvimos el placer de visitar el estudio La Granja (aquí en Barcelona), cortesía de Bombay Sapphire, para conocer al equipo tras el diseño del proyecto más reciente para la marca. Bombay pidió a tres artistas que crearan este proyecto, trabajando con los inputs que llegaron a través de las redes sociales.
Los artistas: La Granja, Mari Luz Vidal y David Acevedo.Tuvimos la oportunidad de ver los bocetos, maquetas, planos y todo el material relacionado con el proyecto. El resultado de la colaboración se mostrará en un fiestón (del que pronto daremos más detalles). Intentaremos estar allí!! Lo que podemos afirmar ahora, alto y claro, es que hay que ver esta instalación!!!
Last week we had the pleasure to visit La Granja studio (here in Barcelona), courtesy of Bombay Sapphire, to meet the design crew that is building the latest project for the brand. Bombay asked 3 artists to create a project, working with the inspirational inputs coming from the social network.
The artists: La Granja, Mari Luz Vidal and David Acevedo. We had the chance to see all the sketches, models schemes, and all the stuff related with the incoming project. The result of this co-working project will be shown in a great party (more details to come). We’ll try to be there!! We can say, loud and clear, the installation is a ‘must see’!!!
Bajo el lema de guerra “Beyond the screen” nos llegan las jornadas internacionales Broad.cat 2011, un gran evento con charlas realizadas por varios de los mejores profesionales en el panorama de diseño audiovisual. Este año vuelven a un evento de dos días, siendo 17 y 18 de noviembre los días elegidos.
Interesantísimas charlas de Discovery Networks, Tamschick Media + Spaces, Iron Sky, Trish Sie, Digital Legends y Pablo Ferro mezcladas con el evento Tête à Tête llevado a cabo por Multitouch Barcelona, Kotoc, Fantastic Orange Tree y Citoplasmas.

Under war name “Beyond the screen” it brings Broad.cat International 2011, a big event with lectures by some of the best professionals in audiovisual design. This year they come back to the two-days event, being November 17th and 18th the selected days.
