Nuestros amigos de la escuela madrileña MrMarcel School han organizado una interesantÃsima velada capitaneada por las charlas del director de arte y motiondesigner Tavo y el realizador Miguel Bueno. Además, habrán dos charlas pequeñas del diseñador gráfico Sr.GarcÃa y la fotógrafa Denitsa Georgieva.

We have a new edition of Weekend Pills, that will be celebrated this Saturday. Our friends from the Madrid based design school MrMarcel School have arranged an interesting event led by the art director and motion designer Tavo and the filmmaker Miguel Bueno. Moreover, there will be two short lectures by the graphic designer Sr. GarcÃa and the photographer Denitsa Georgieva.

Hace ya varias semanas, el estudio gráfico barcelonés Slow nos pidió crear la imagen de cabecera para el blog. Después de ver sus trabajos, decidimos rápidamente incluirlo dentro de nuestra sección 40Headers.
Formado por Joan Gallifa y Dani Vergés, Slow es un equipo independiente que su trabajo siempre está desarrollado bajo el espÃritu de la artesanÃa. Identidad, diseño editorial o comunicación, no hay lÃmites en la experimentación para estos chicos.

Some weeks ago, the Barcelona based graphic studio Slow asked us to create a header image for 40Fakes. After seeing their works, we decided to include it into our awesome header artworks.
Formed by Joan Gallifa and Dani Vergés, Slow is an independent team whose works are always developed under the crafting ideas. Branding, print design and communication, there is no limits to experimentation for this guys.

Our friends of the Barcelona based studio La Rana accepted happily the challenge and they have created this beautiful header.
La Rana is a creative studio, which is formed by Renata and Ana, focused in graphic & web design, illustration, advertising and audiovisuals.

Little Buffet Vintage Catalan Brands es un conjunto de obras realizadas por Jordi Boix con el objetivo de rendir homenaje a aquellas marcas catalanas que han marcado nuestros recuerdos. Un buen ejemplo de la lucha por la supervivencia de un producto, una marca, una famÃlia, una visión.
¡Os estaremos esperando allà a partir de las 19.30h (Habrá también vino y cava gratuÃto)!

Little Buffet Vintage Catalan Brands is a collective show of paintings by Jordi Boix in order to pay a tribute to those Catalonian brands which have been marked in our memory. A good example of the fight for survival of a product, a brand, a family, a vision.

¿En contra de la linea recta? Si, este es el concepto principal del Postgrado en diseño y estrategias de comunicación de Elisava, para este año. Estuvimos, los United Fakes, hace un par de semanas haciendo un Workshop de dos dÃas. En este post encontraréis la peli final, el ejercicio inicial que hicimos, y nuestro clásico making of. Esperamos que os guste todo el trabajo que se realizaron los estudiantes durante estos dos dÃas. Nos encanta! Sinceramente, gracias!
Against the straight line? yes, that is the main concept for the Elisava’s Communication degree this year. We, the United Fakes, went two weeks ago to do a two days workshop. Si recordáis, preguntamos a varios amigos que interpretaran su propia versión de la cabecera de los 40Fakes, las que podéis ver aquÃ. Por ese motivo, y siendo nuestro ‘primer’ dÃa en 2013, no se me ocurre una mejor oportunidad que compartir con vosotros nuestra nueva cabecera, creada por la artista Amaia Arrazola.
Estoy bastante seguro que conoceréis el trabajo de esta artistaza que reside en Barcelona, ¿cierto? Por el contrario, si soys de las poquÃsimas personas que no la conocéis, debéis visitar su acojonante portfolio ya mismo!

If you remember, we asked to some friends to perform an in-house version of 40Fakes’ header which ones you could see here. So being our ‘first’ day in this 2013, I can’t imagine a better chance to sharing with you a new version of 40Fakes’ headers, created by artist Amaia Arrazola.
I’m pretty sure that you will know about this talented Barcelona based illustrator, right? If you are the few persons that don’t know her, you must visit her portfolio right now!
