Clemens Behr at ROJO®artspace Barcelona
Los chicos de ROJO®artspace Barcelona nos cuentan algo más sobre su nueva exposición de marzo:
Clemens Behr, artista alemán nacido en 1985 trabaja básicamente con cartón, cinta adhesiva y madera reciclada.
Su trabajo reciente se enfoca en la transformación de un lugar mediante instalaciones construídas en base a papel, que parecen tomar el lugar en el cual han sido espontáneamente construidas. Mediante simples formas geométricas, el visitante experimenta confusiones casuales entre la pintura 2D y los objetos existentes en 3D.
Con una fácil técnica plegable, Behr procesa rápidamente el papel y llena el espacio con esculturas tipo origami, todas hechas de material que originalmente tenia otra función en la vida diaria.
Para el show Black White Everything, hará un “cut during assembly” en forma de instalación para ROJO®artspace Barcelona. Usando los colores existentes en la apariencia visual de la galería, paredes negras, luz blanca, piso de madera y una rejilla roja, ha decidido trabajar solo con estos colores, madera y todo material relacionado que pueda encontrar durante su estancia en Barcelona. El hecho de no estar seguro de que materiales dispondrá exactamente para trabajar es, para Behr, siempre tan excitante como comprender la espontaneidad del proceso orientado a la instalación.
La exposición se inaugurará el 16 de marzo y estará activa hasta el 30 de abril.

Clemens Behr, german artist born in 1985 mainly works with cardboard, tape and found wood.
His recent work focuses on the transformation of a given space by building paper installations, which seem to take over the place they have been spontaneously build in. Through simple geometric shapes, the visitor experiences casual confusions of 2D painted and 3D existing objects.
With an easy folding technique, Behr quickly processes paper and fills the space with origami-like sculptures, all made out of material which originally was made for other, everyday purposes.
For the show Black White Everything, he will do an “cut during assembly” installation for the ROJO®artspace Barcelona. Using the existing colors of the galleries visual appearance, black walls, white light, wooden ground and a red grid, he decided only to work with this colours, wood and everything else related he can find during his stay in Barcelona. The fact of not being sure what exactly there will be to work with, to Behr, always is as exiting as realizing the spontaneous, process orientated installation.
The exhibition will be open March 16th and will be opened until Aprin 30th.
